Mental Health Law

  • We have a team of highly experienced and committed solicitors who specialise in Mental Health Law and are members of the Law Society Mental Health Accreditation Scheme. We advise and represent patients who are compulsorily detained under the Mental Health Act in psychiatric hospital in conditions of low, medium and high security. We also represent patients who are subject to a Community Treatment Order.

  • Free Legal Aid

    Persons detained under the Mental Health Act are eligible for free non-means tested legal advice and assistance. It may also be possible for a relative of someone detained to be eligible for financial assistance.
